Family Friendly Skate Parks in San Diego

Heading to the skate park for the first time or bringing your young ones can be an intimidating experience. Between park difficulty, ramp size, and finding a family friendly environment it can be a difficult to find the best park for your family. As skateboarders and coaches, we have have experienced and visited a majority of the skate parks in San Diego. To help aide you in finding a skate park that best suites your family, check out this list of some of our favorite, family friendly skate parks in the San Diego area.

Xavier's Birthday

On Sunday, we celebrated Xavier's 9th birthday at Carmel Valley skatepark. The day was a huge success. We were able to share Xavier's love of skateboarding with all his friends, play some games, and join in the celebration. December Skate Contest

Thanks to everyone who came out for our Winter Skate Contest. This contest marked our third skateboard competition of the year and had a turnout of close to 30 competitors. Contestants entered in beginner, intermediate, and advanced classes and had two, 1 minute runs with the best run scored. Overall the event was a success and we plan on holding more contests in 2018.

Private Lessons

Whether it is your first time riding, or you are looking to progress your technical skills, our team of dedicated instructors will stop at nothing to make you feel comfortable. Our 1 on 1 private lessons or semi private lessons are the perfect way to learn or advance your skills on a skateboard. KOTR LA: Memorial Day

On Memorial Day, SD Skatelife loaded up the van and headed to LA for a day of skateboarding. From 7am to 7pm, we hit 4 skate parks including Sheldon Skate Plaza, Stoner Skate Plaza, The Santa Monica Courthouse Ledges, and the West Chester Skate Plaza.
